About me

I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon at the DAMM team within the LBMC laboratory.

The work I currently develop focuses on modeling and optimizing lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). LNPs comprise various lipid components, including ionizable lipids (ILs) that change protonation states based on environmental pH, cholesterol, helper lipids (typically phospholipids), and pegylated lipids.

Lipid-based drug delivery carriers have been successfully utilized in mRNA vaccines, such as those developed for COVID-19. Despite their effectiveness, mRNA delivery efficiency remains remarkably low. Intending to improve the delivery efficiency of these carriers, I am working under supervision of Dr. Paulo C. T. Souza, in collaboration with Sanofi Pasteur, to investigate the role of ionizable lipids in enhancing mRNA transfection using computational approaches using Martini 3 models.
